At Griffin Martial Arts, we offer expert instruction in multiple martial arts disciplines. Whether you're interested in striking, grappling, weapons training, or a well-rounded approach to martial arts, we have classes to meet your needs and goals.

Martial Arts Seminars

Looking to bring expert martial arts instruction to your school or event? Lester Griffin offers professional seminars in Jeet Kune Do, Kali, Muay Thai, MMA and more.

With over 30 years of experience and credentials including UFC judging and Dog Brothers membership, Lester provides comprehensive training for martial artists of all levels.

$1,200 plus travel expenses for weekend seminars (Saturday & Sunday sessions)

Jeet Kune Do

Developed by the legendary Bruce Lee, Jeet Kune Do (JKD) is a hybrid martial arts system and philosophy that emphasizes combat efficiency, directness, and freedom from fixed patterns.

In our JKD classes, you'll learn:

  • Efficient striking techniques from various disciplines
  • Trapping and close-range fighting
  • Interception and counter-attacking methods
  • Footwork and mobility for combat effectiveness
  • Philosophical aspects of JKD and combat strategy

Muay Thai

Known as the "Art of Eight Limbs," Muay Thai is Thailand's national sport and one of the most effective striking systems in the world, utilizing punches, kicks, elbows, and knees.

Our Muay Thai program covers:

  • Fundamental striking techniques with hands, elbows, knees, and shins
  • Proper defensive movements and blocking
  • Clinch work and sweeps
  • Conditioning specific to Muay Thai
  • Technical sparring (optional)

MMA

Our Mixed Martial Arts program combines various fighting styles to create well-rounded fighters capable of competing in the cage or practicing effective self-defense.

These classes focus on:

  • Integrating striking and grappling techniques
  • Cage tactics and strategy
  • Transitioning between fighting ranges
  • MMA-specific conditioning
  • Combat strategy and fight preparation

Jiu-Jitsu

Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program focuses on ground fighting, teaching students how to control an opponent and apply submissions through leverage and technique rather than strength.

In our BJJ classes, you'll learn:

  • Positional control and transitions
  • Submission techniques including chokes and joint locks
  • Escapes and defensive techniques
  • Competition strategies

Filipino Martial Arts (FMA)

Our Filipino Martial Arts program includes Kali, Escrima, Arnis, and elements of Silat, providing students with a comprehensive weapons-based martial arts system as well as effective empty-hand combat techniques.

In our FMA classes, you'll learn:

  • Single and double stick fighting techniques
  • Blade awareness, tactics, and defense
  • Empty-hand applications derived from weapons training
  • Joint manipulation and control
  • Fluid footwork and angular attacks

Tai-Chi

Tai-Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art that emphasizes slow, flowing movements, promoting health, stress reduction, and internal power development through meditation in motion.

Our Tai-Chi program focuses on:

  • Traditional Yang-style Tai-Chi forms
  • Mindful breathing and body awareness
  • Internal energy cultivation (Chi development)
  • Practical self-defense applications
  • Health and stress reduction benefits

Wing-Chun

Wing-Chun is a traditional Chinese kung fu style known for its efficiency, practicality, and close-range combat techniques focusing on economy of motion and direct lines of attack.

In our Wing-Chun classes, you'll learn:

  • Chi Sao (Sticky Hands) sensitivity drills
  • Centerline theory and direct striking methods
  • Simultaneous attack and defense principles
  • Traditional forms including Siu Lim Tao
  • Close-range fighting and trapping techniques

Training Programs

Regular Membership

Our standard membership gives you access to classes on our schedule. Each program meets twice per week, including Kids class, Muay Thai, and all other martial arts disciplines.

Includes:

  • Access to your chosen program(s) twice per week
  • Discounts on seminars and special events
  • Ask about additional training days and multiple program options

First Month: $130

Monthly Membership: $80/month after first month

Intense Personal Training Programs (I.P.T.P.)

Learn three times faster with a training program designed specifically for you. Work one-on-one with our instructors to accelerate your progress.

Program Options:

  • 4 hour program $200.00
  • 10 hour program $450.00
  • 20 hour program $800.00

All hours must be completed in one month in 2, 4, or 8 hour training sessions. Upon completion, you will be evaluated to receive one or more of our Ranks.

Fees are paid in full the day we schedule your first lessons OR half down with the remainder paid on the day of your first lesson.
