Decorate the Cake – Lester’s Logic 11
In this instructional video, I demonstrate a highly effective and destructive Muay Thai combination that I call “Decorate the Cake.” This technique sequence is designed to overwhelm your opponent with a series of powerful strikes that flow together seamlessly.

Understanding the Combination
The “Decorate the Cake” combination incorporates multiple striking weapons in a fluid sequence. The name comes from the way the techniques are layered one after another, similar to adding decorations to a cake. Each strike targets a different area, making it difficult for opponents to defend effectively.
Key Elements of the Combination
When practicing this combination, focus on:
- Flow and timing - Each technique should naturally lead into the next
- Balance and weight transfer - Maintain proper balance throughout the sequence
- Power generation - Use your hips and core rotation to generate maximum power
- Target acquisition - Be precise with your targeting for maximum effectiveness
Training Applications
This combination can be practiced:
- On heavy bags to develop power and conditioning
- With focus mitts or Thai pads for precision and timing
- In controlled sparring to test effectiveness against a moving opponent
Practice Recommendations
For best results:
- Start slowly and focus on proper form
- Gradually increase speed as you become comfortable with the sequence
- Practice both sides (lead with left and lead with right)
- Incorporate into your regular training routine 2-3 times per week
With consistent practice, this devastating combination can become one of your most effective offensive weapons in both competition and self-defense situations.
