Lester’s Logic 12 – 4 Cannonballs – Muay Thai

This instructional video focuses on developing power in your dominant side striking weapons. The “4 Cannonballs” drill incorporates the cross, elbow, knee, and kick—four of the most powerful weapons in Muay Thai—in a devastating combination that can be used in both competition and self-defense scenarios.

Video Demonstration

The 4 Cannonballs Technique

This drill focuses on the following four powerful striking techniques:

  1. Cross - A straight punch with your power hand
  2. Elbow - A horizontal elbow strike
  3. Knee - A powerful knee strike to the body
  4. Kick - A roundhouse kick with your power leg

When combined in sequence, these techniques create an overwhelming combination that most opponents will struggle to defend against. Each technique flows naturally into the next, making this an efficient and effective offensive sequence.

Training Benefits

Regular practice of this drill will help you:

  • Develop devastating power in your dominant side
  • Improve your balance when throwing multiple techniques
  • Enhance the flow and timing between different striking weapons
  • Build specific striking endurance
  • Create muscle memory for more instinctive fighting

Practice Recommendations

For best results:

  • Practice slowly at first, focusing on proper technique
  • Gradually increase speed and power as your form improves
  • Use a heavy bag or Thai pads for resistance training
  • Work with a partner to ensure proper targeting and distance
  • Include this drill in your regular training rotation, 2-3 times per week

Remember that power comes from proper technique, not just strength. Focus on rotation, weight transfer, and follow-through to maximize the effectiveness of each strike.
